President Cao Ranbin and his delegation went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for inspection and exchange

On June 18th, President Cao Ranbin led a delegation of 10 people, including Hao Lina, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Liu Wei, Deputy Director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Li Ye, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Engineering, Yu Xiaohan, Assistant of Director of the Department of Management Engineering, and Wang Ziwei, Assistant of Director of the Department of Construction Engineering, and three teachers, to visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for inspection and exchange.

In the morning, the inspection team arrived at the Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) and was warmly received by Chen Jinsong, Director of the Chinese Operations Department. Dr. Chen Shiqiang, Dean of the School of Business, Information and Humanities, Dr. Wu Qiwen, Dean of the School of Engineering, Science and Technology, Huang Yigui, Deputy Director of the Chinese Operations Department, and Xiao Weishen, Senior Executive Officer of the Chinese Operations Department, also participated in the exchange.


Dr. Chen introduced the basic situation of IUKL, saying it is a high-level private university in Malaysia, with three secondary colleges: Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Construction, Faculty of Business, Information and Humanities, Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology, as well as Basic and General Education Curriculum Center and Graduate Research Center. It has 19 undergraduate majors, multiple preparatory, junior, undergraduate and doctoral majors.

President Cao Ranbin introduced the basic situation and curriculum construction ideas of our institute around the theme that curriculum is a fusion agent of "educational cooperation", and elaborated on the "Four Principles and Three Methods (FT)" curriculum construction model developed by our school. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the achievements made by our institute in curriculum construction and talent cultivation.

Subsequently, the attendees had an in-depth communication on the "Four Principles and Three Methods (FT)" course construction model, undergraduate joint training, teacher training, and other aspects. Consensus was reached on future cooperation matters, and a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation was signed.


After the meeting, the delegation visited the laboratory and university hub of IUKL.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Fidelity Group, a subsidiary of IUKL, and had in-depth exchanges with enterprise personnel on company business, employment needs, school enterprise cooperation, talent training, and other aspects.


On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the 11th anniversary of the "the Belt and Road Initiative", this trip to Kuala Lumpur, on the one hand, has taken the first step in the cooperation between our university and Malaysian universities and enterprises, and is of great significance in promoting all-round and multi-level cooperation with high quality between universities and enterprises of the two countries. At the same time, it has also enhanced the influence of the school's curriculum construction brand. Our school will make full use of the "Four Principles and Three Methods (FT)" curriculum to contribute to the "the Belt and Road Initiative" and help enterprises go abroad, which aims to further promote the "the Belt and Road Initiative" localization talent training.
